How close are we to beating Boston's all-time snow record?

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- With a Winter Weather Advisory in place on Sunday into Monday, Boston is inching closer and closer to setting a new record for the snowiest season.

As of Sunday afternoon, Boston needed 5.8 inches to beat the all-time record of 107.6 inches of snow in the city. Worcester needed 24.4 inches to beat the city's record of 132.9 inches.

After getting 1.9 inches of snow overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday, Boston surpassed 100 inches of snow mark and received a total of 101.8 inches so far this winter.

An estimated three to six inches of snow is expected to hit Boston, beginning on Sunday afternoon.
