Two upcoming Bruins games postponed due to COVID-19 protocols

BOSTON — The National Hockey League announced Friday that two of the Boston Bruins’ upcoming games have been postponed due to four Bruins players entering the NHL’s COVID-19 Protocols.

The two postponed games are Saturday, Mar. 20, against the Buffalo Sabres and Tuesday, Mar. 23, against the New York Islanders.

The game on Mar. 23 was slated to be the first home game at TD Garden with fans in attendance.

The statement from the Bruins read in part:

The Bruins’ organization has, and will continue to follow, all recommended guidelines aimed at protecting the health and safety of its Players, staff and community at large as set by the NHL, local, state and national agencies.

Depending on COVID-19 test results, the Bruins can potentially re-open their facilities for practice on Wednesday, Mar. 24.
