Hasbro creates robot dog to ease loneliness for elderly, kids

Hasbro has just released its latest creation - a life-like robotic dog.

It barks and turns its head in the direction of a person talking, just like a real dog.

The golden robotic puppy is similar to the robotic cat, also created by Hasbro.

The close-to-real-life pets are designed to help ease loneliness among the elderly and children. Some studies have suggested that nearly-real pets can provide companionship similarly to real animals.

Hasbro retails its robotic golden pup $119 and the orange tabby cat goes for about $99.
