Good Samaritans surprise girls with new lemonade stand after old one stolen

MANSFIELD, Mass. — Complete strangers surprised two young girls with a lemonade stand after learning the girls' stand was stolen.

The special delivery arrived Thursday for two young girls in Mansfield, who just had their lemonade stand stolen from them this week.

Mike Hussey heard about the stolen lemonade stand Wednesday, so he went home with his sons to do something about it.

"We kind of cut it up so it would be really light, so they could move it, but durable so it should last for a while," he said of the new stand.

When they heard the news, Hussey and his two sons spent the entire night in their workshop building a brand-new lemonade stand for the young girls.

"I think it's incredible, they didn’t have to do this, it's amazing," said Mikaela Chmielewski. "It would take me five years to make this, and the fact they made this for us is amazing."

An amazing surprise from complete strangers who live down the street.

"Everything about it is just perfect," said Miranda Hourigan.

Now the girls say they plan to put the new stand to good use: to sell lemonade for charity soon.

And they’re not too worried about this one disappearing.
