Stop & Shop Spokesperson Phil Tracey says that associate in question is now suspended. Tracey went on to say:
"Nothing is more important to Stop & Shop than the safety and privacy of its associates. We were shocked to learn of the allegations that a store associate attempted to violate the privacy of other associates at our Temple Street Framingham store and immediately suspended the individual."
Customers say it's sad to hear about something like this and if the allegations are true, they hope the associate is held accountable.
"Charges should be brought up on them because you can't just invade somebody's privacy like that," said a customer.
Tracey says they are working with the Framingham Police Department.
Police say no further information will be released as the investigation continues.
