BOSTON — In 2012, Keosha Gilmore was 25-years-old when she was shot and killed sitting in a car with her boyfriend in Mattapan.
The case went unsolved for months, until it was featured on FOX25's New England's Unsolved. That story led to the tip that broke open the case. Now, that man is on trial for Gilmore's murder.
Christopher Jackson, 29, is accused of walking up to the car and coldly firing at Gilmore at point blank range, and running off.
The DA believes Jackson killed Gilmore because she was not romantically interested in him.
In a police interrogation, detectives asked Jackson if he had seen FOX25's New England's Unsolved. A FOX25 viewer called in the tip that led to his arrest.
