Four people were arrested after a police pursuit involving a stolen car on I-93 in Boston, police say.

Massachusetts State Police say a trooper saw a car exiting the tunnel on I-93 southbound, and a query showed the car had been stolen in Lynn on Tuesday.

The trooper temporarily lost sight of the stolen car in heavy traffic, but another picked up the car before Exit 18 several minutes later.

Police say the stolen car failed to stop, beginning a pursuit before the car was forced to stop by stalled rush hour traffic near the Massachusetts Avenue connector.

Troopers arrested the four people in the car, and each were charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

The four people charged were 20-year-old Worcester native Ivan Cruz-Ortega, 18-year-old Chelsea native Camilo Ruiz-Escobar, 18-year-old Chelsea native Cindy Martinez and a 16-year-old from Chelsea.

Police say a trooper injured their ankle during the incident, and the stolen car came into contact with a State Police cruiser, but no one was injured in the crash.
