SHREWSBURY, Mass. — A Shrewsbury firefighter accused of inappropriately touching his teenage babysitter appeared in court Tuesday.
Sean Bohdiewicz, 35, was put on leave for misconduct, which the victim said has been ongoing since last June.
"He had a young female at his house. She was his babysitter. He was in a trusted position with her. He did make multiple inappropriate comments to her,” Assistant District Attorney Kristin Salvatore.
Last month the 15-year-old babysitter told police that Bohdiewicz had touched her inappropriately while she and a friend slept over after babysitting.
“He also, on multiple occasions, did touch or grab and or slap her butt. One time even getting into bed with her,” Salvatore said.
In court documents obtained by FOX25 the victim alleged that he had made comments regarding the size of her buttocks, breasts and her sexual experience.
"My client adamantly denies these charges,” defense attorney Ken Anderson said.
Bohdiewicz is an 8-year veteran of the fire department and a father of two.
He walked out of his arraignment without bail and refused to answer any questions.
Town Manager Daniel Morgado said Bohdiewicz has been put on leave.
"Everyone's very surprised, concerned, and understanding that we'll conduct a full and complete investigation and the town will take appropriate action,” Morgado said.
