NORTH ATTLEBORO (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Was it a winter wonderland in the middle of August?
Not quite. The fire suppression system was activated at a Sunoco gas station on Kelley Boulevard in North Attleboro, releasing the white chemical powder.
It covered several cars and people who were at the station at the time. One man in a Jeep tried to drive away to escape the powder and crashed into brush behind the building.
One woman suffered possible breathing problems because of the powder.
The reason for the system's activation is under investigation.
