Final 3 'American Idol' contestants to perform live Wednesday night

HOLLYWOOD — It's the final countdown to the last episode of American Idol.

After 15 seasons the top three contestants will give their final performances Wednesday night.

It's all up to you who will be the final American Idol.

Viewers have a choice between three finalists, Dalton Rapattoni, Trent Harmon or La’Porsha Renae. The judges say they will be just as surprised as the viewers when the winner is revealed.

"Some people think La'Porsha will win that say there's no way that Trent or Dalton can win. Then Dalton has fans that say we're going to vote for him, there's no way the other two can win,” Harry Connick Jr. said.

La’Porsha has stood out this season with her powerful voice, but it comes down to the final vote.

"Though La'Porsha is far out front, you never know with American Idol. It's from performance to performance and Trent is really, really close with the support he has garnered and how much he's grown so he could come

in for the win," People Magazine staff writer Janine Rayford Rubenstein said.

While the competition has been fierce, the three remaining contestants have developed a strong bond with each other and there's one thing they can all agree on.

"It’s really cool being a part of the last season because you are fighting for a really big title, the last American Idol that's a pretty good thing to put on your Twitter right but even. So, even without the title it’s just a cool thing, it’s a great show, and I'm super stoked to be on the finale,” Rapattoni said.

After the performances Wednesday night, the final winner of American Idol will be announced Thursday night.
