Pesky Pole replacement among offseason changes approved for Fenway Park

BOSTON — In the 15 years since John Henry bought the Red Sox, there have been a lot of upgrades and improvements at Fenway Park, and this offseason will be no different.

Tuesday afternoon, more proposed changes were presented before the Boston Landmark Commission for approval.

FOX25's Ted Daniel explains:

A total of six projects were proposed:

The commission approved four of the proposed changes, but sent architects back to the drawing board on the dugout moves and the new suites.

"It's a very straight forward replication of the seats that are there just pushed forward. The folks who sit in the front row now will move forward," Fenway architect Chuck Izzo said about the dugout changes.

All approved changes are expected to be completed by Opening Day of the 2017 season. Architects said they will bring the other changes back before the commissioners at a future date.
