BOSTON — Massachusetts will soon be saying goodbye to more toll booths.
Workers will be out overnight for the next several days in East Boston installing new toll-collection technology.
Crews started the work Wednesday night on the Sumner and Callahan Tunnels.
It's the same electronic tolling that has already been installed on the Tobin Bridge and the Mass. Pike. The system either reads a driver's E-ZPass, or collects vehicle information for billing .
The system in East Boston will launch in October.
