SALEM, Mass. — The driver who hit a 17-year-old skateboarder in Salem has been charged.

In the surveillance video obtained by Boston 25 News, you can see Araya skateboarding down Ord Street in Salem before being hit by a car.
According to information released by Salem Police, they were notified of the incident on Friday, January 15.
The driver of the car spoke to Araya after hitting her and did not provide any information before driving away.
Police were not able to identify the driver based on surveillance video, but that driver, 25-year-old Arianna Gallagher of Salem, turned herself in on Tuesday.
She is being charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with personal injury.
