PHILLIPSTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A serious crash shut down Route 2 in Phillipston and injured four people Monday.
The crash happened on Route 2 before exit 19. Four people were injured and Route 2 East was closed for a majority of the afternoon.
Police say the driver of an eastbound vehicle, a Toyota Camry, crossed the center-lane markings and hit another car head-on. The driver of the Camry was ejected from the car and taken to the hospital by helicopter with life-threatening injuries. Two adults and one child from the other car, a Honda CRV, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Route 2 was closed for most of the afternoon due to the crash.
