Cape man accused of raping 14-year-old girl in cemetery

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) - A 24-year-old Cape Cod man has been arrested after allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.

Police were called Wednesday night at 8 p.m. when a Hyannis woman reported that her daughter was missing. They found the bicycle, but it wasn't until a short time later when the girl came walking down the road.

"I saw my daughter's bicycle sitting there with her helmet, and I knew something was wrong," the girl's mother said. "My daughter was dropped off at the top of the street and I saw her because she was calling mommy and I ran up there she said 'mommy I've been raped.'"

The teen reported that she had been raped, and at the hospital told police that she had met the suspect on Facebook. She said this was the first time they had met in person.

The suspect, 24,year-old Bruce Henrique, reportedly picked up the victim in his SUV and took her to a nearby cemetery where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

"That the victim had informed Henrique on numerous occasions that she was only 14 years old; however, Henrique sent her multiple nude photos of himself in a state of arousal," a release from the police department said.

According to police, Henrique admitted to picking up the teen and taking her to a cemetery the night of the assault.

Henrique has been charged with three counts raping a child under 16, two counts of indecent assault and battery, enticing a child under 16 and dissemination of obscene material to a minor.
