A Rhode Island man is lucky to be alive after being rescued from a fiery car crash Sunday morning in Woonsocket.
Richard Hazzard was standing near his home on Transit Street when he saw the car crash into a concrete barrier and burst into flames.
When no one got out of the car, Hazzard ran over and pulled the driver out.
"I reached to go grab him out one side. I couldn’t, had to get him through the other side. [I] just dragged him to the street," Hazzard said.
