Brockton firefighter shares photos of Masters journey after missing cut

Massachusetts has some representation at the 2018 Masters Tournament this weekend with Brockton firefighter Matt Parziale on the course.

Parziale qualified as one of six amateurs at the event, and garnered a lot of support locally as he played the legendary Augusta National Golf Club course. Parziale missed the cut for the rest of the tournament after shooting a 79 Friday.

The 30-year-old posted photos on Saturday reflecting on his journey in Georgia.

One of the photos shows Parziale's father, a retired firefighter, as his caddie during the weekend, along with a photo of Parziale playing alongside Tiger Woods.

Parziale shot a nine-over par 81 on Thursday to start his trip, with his score of 79 on Friday ending the weekend.
