A tennis coach accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl he gave lessons to plead not guilty in court Friday.
Eric Rosales, 57, is being accused of taking the young girl under the bleachers and inappropriately touching her on Aug. 8 at the Simmons University tennis courts.
They then carried on with the scheduled tennis lesson but then the girl told her mother about it the next day.
His attorney told Boston 25 News he doesn't know why the charges are coming three months after the alleged assault. Rosales' attorney added the tennis coach lost his job after the allegations surfaced.
Rosales was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a child under 14 and was released on personal recognizance.
The court also ordered Rosales, who is a U.S. citizen but also has a Guatemalan passport to surrender both passports.
Rosales was also ordered to refrain from having any contact with children under the age of 16.
He is due back in court on Dec. 7 for a pre-trial hearing.
