BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — Officials in the Bridgewater-Raynham School District are investigating allegations against a student for hacking into the network.
The student was able to access documents on various computers, including final exams, and share them.
"It's a situation that's still under investigation. The school is taking this very seriously and we are hoping to proactively put in measures to prevent such actions from reoccurring in the future. Because this matter involves a student within our district, we must protect his/her rights to confidentiality,” Superintendent Derek Swenson said.
In an email sent to staff, Swenson said the unauthorized computer access was not the only way students had access to final exams.
“Others were compromised because they were in plain view and students either took them or took pictures of them,” he said in the email.
