Police in Billerica are searching for the driver of a minivan wanted for assault and battery on a police officer.
The vehicle is a green 1999 Dodge Caravan with Rhode Island license plate IY888. The vehicle also has a ladder and ladder racks on top.
Police tell FOX25 a uniformed officer spotted the vehicle acting suspicious in the parking lot of a Rite Aid on Boston Road.
The officer approached the vehicle on foot and opened the door when he saw the driver allegedly injecting a substance into his arm. Police say the driver then began driving in reverse and dragged the officer 15 feet.
