BELMONT, Mass. — It was an incredible feat of global proportions for a Marathon runner from Belmont.
Becca Pizzi arrived back home Thursday to a parade celebrating her success in the World Marathon challenge.
Pizzi and others ran seven marathons in seven days all around the world.
"It was just so much fun. When can you say you've run on a glacier and have my passport stamped Antarctica? I felt very lucky to be there,” she said.
After Antarctica, Pizzi raced in Chile, Miami, Spain, Morocco, Dubai and finally Sydney.
As the first American woman to complete the challenge, Pizzi also had the third best time for women, averaging four hours for all seven races.
