Ambulance goes up in flames, 2 firefighters injured

QUINCY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- An ambulance went up in flames on Tuesday morning along I-93.

Officials say that the Boston EMS had been traveling northbound around 7:50 a.m. when the driver noticed a problem with the brakes. The driver pulled over near Exit 8 to the Furnace brook Parkway.

After coming to rest at a snowbank, a large oxygen cylinder inside the vehicle exploded and the ambulance became engulfed in flames.
