Mosman was in his 50s and apparently contracted the virus in September. He was in critical condition until his death on Friday, per one report.

Three other people in the state have been killed from the disease in 2019: a woman from Fairhaven, Mass, a person from Hampden County and Jim Longworth of Freetown, Mass.

Taunton remains one of the Mass. communities listed at high-risk for EEE.
