31-year-old man drowns in Ammonoosuc River in New Hampshire

BETHLEHEM, N.H. — A 31-year-old man died after being found unconscious in a river in New Hampshire, police say.

New Hampshire State Police say they received reports about a possible drowning in the Ammonoosuc River in Bethlehem, New Hampshire on Sunday around 12:40 p.m.

Police say initial investigations show a family member found the man unconscious in the river, and the person began to perform CPR after pulling him from the water, before the victim was pronounced dead.

Police say it didn't appear as if there was any foul play involved, but said the incident is still under investigation.
