2 charged with murder after disappearance of Mashpee man in December

MASHPEE, Mass. – Two people have been charged with murder after a Mashpee man disappeared last year.

Raymond Perry of Mashpee was reported missing on Dec. 1, and his body was discovered on Dec. 19 in Carver.

Investigators said the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head in combination with cutting wounds to the neck.

On Tuesday, police arrested his son, Eli Perry, 37, and Paige Malone, 29, both of Mashpee.

Both Perry and Malone are charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and illegal disposal of a human body.

Eli Perry is the son of 64-year-old Raymond and had been in jail after an arrest in December for illegal possession of a revolver after being stopped by police in a truck police had been looking for.
