Man stabbed with screwdriver outside Medford Starbucks

MEDFORD, Mass. — One man was arrested Tuesday after stabbing another man with a screwdriver outside a Medford Starbucks, police said.

The stabbing happened around 9:35 a.m. in Wellington Circle. The victim, a 30-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with facial lacerations. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

After the stabbing, the suspect was seen running towards the Wellington MBTA station. Officers found the suspect at the station and arrested him.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Junior Dornevil of Medford. He was arrested on assault-related charges and is expected to be arraigned in Somerville District Court.

The initial investigation indicated that the victim and suspect did not know each other.
