WEYMOUTH, Mass. — One person died after a single-car crash on Route 3 in Weymouth Saturday morning, according to a report from State Police.
Officials responded to reports around 2:14 a.m. of the car crash on Route 3 Southbound south of exit 16, the report said.
Police found a 2019 Dodge Charger rolled over and on fire with the driver trapped inside. The driver died on scene.
A preliminary investigation shows that the car left the road to the left side and rolled over into the center median, according to the report. No other cars were involved in the crash, which is under investigation.
Police said the driver has not yet been identified.
