BOSTON — Sunday, October 4th is Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk day.

This year the walk transforms into virtual event.

For the last 31 years, Boston has come alive with people walking along the marathon route to show their support and raise funds for the patients and families Dana-Farber serves. This Sunday, thousands will walk “their own way” to fight cancer and raise funds for cancer research and patient care.

Don’t miss our profiles of cancer survivors who make the walk an annual tradition to honor all those who helped them through treatment. The profiles will be featured this week on Boston 25 News at 6 p.m. On Saturday, October 3rd at 8 p.m., tune in here for a Pre-Walk Celebration streaming live on Boston25News.com and our news app. Boston 25′s Mark Ockerbloom, Vanessa Welch and Tom Leyden will help the Jimmy Fund highlight the entire walk community and the impact they’re making to conquer cancer.
