Winter chill this weekend

WEEKEND IN VIEW

It was another cloudy and cooler start to the day with a few areas seeing some passing snow showers and flurries. Temperatures Saturday will stay in the upper 30s, which is still cool for this time of year but not as cold as we were yesterday.

Cloud cover hangs on throughout most of Sunday with highs again in the upper 30s. Another weak boundary approaches late in the day, bringing the chance for a few more flurries that could linger into early Monday morning.

NEXT WEEK

Skies clear on Monday, giving us plenty of sunshine—but don’t let it fool you. A colder air mass settles in, and highs will struggle to get out of the mid-20s. It will be the coldest day of the stretch.

Early Tuesday morning brings single-digit lows, the coldest temperatures of the week and some of the coldest of the season so far. We do warm slightly by afternoon with highs in the low 30s.

We moderate nicely by Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures bounce back into the 40s. Another storm system swings through during this time, bringing a small chance for rain showers or snow showers, depending on timing and temperatures.
