NFL reinstates John Jastremski and Jim McNally

John Jastremski and Jim McNally have been reinstated by the NFL and are cleared to return to work with the Patriots.

The NFL released the following statement: “Last week, the New England Patriots requested the reinstatement of both John Jastremski and Jim McNally. The Patriots have satisfied the league’s requirements for reinstatement and the league has granted permission for the employees to return.”

Earlier this week, it's believed both Jastremski and McNally spoke with NFL Vice President Troy Vincent about what their responsibilities might include moving forward with the Patriots. When the two employees were punished in May, Vincent stated neither of them would be permitted to handle the footballs used in any game.

Last season, Jastremski was responsible for preparing the footballs throughout the week. McNally routinely carried the footballs from the official's locker room to the field.
