What started out as a celebration in Danvers turned into a defeat at the hands of the Crimson Tide of Everett for the St Johns Prep Football team.
At 4:00 pm on Saturday, the field at Cronin Memorial Stadium was dedicated as Glatz field in honor of Fred Glatz. Glatz served St. John's Prep as head football coach, athletic director, and teacher during a career that spanned 32 years.
Everett soundly defeated St. John's Prep behind a solid performance from their Junior Quarterback Jake Wilcox. Wilcox led the 42-28 win by going 20-25 passing for 265 yds and two touchdowns.
Everett now goes to 3-0 on the season.
