WORCESTER, Mass. — An elderly man was left in critical condition after a car accident in Worcester.
Update: Police say Kiet Huynh was pronounced dead at a local hospital Friday, June 17.
Police say the 80-year-old driver had "extensive injuries" after a two-car crash on Massasiot Road. He was treated on scene and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. A 32-year-old man was treated for minor injuries on scene.
According to police, the elderly man was making a U-turn on Massasoit Road when the 32-year-old driver hit his car, sending it 50-feet sideways into a tree and trapping the 80-year-old man in his car.
Part of the road was closed for a while as officers investigated the accident.
