NORWOOD, Mass. — A woman in her early 50s was hit and killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train Friday night.
The train was headed to Franklin from South Station when the crash happened.
Police have not identified the person hit by the train, but say she died at the hospital.
Trains were held up for a couple hours as crews checked the safety of the tracks.
