Woman arrested for stalking former Red Sox GM Theo Epstein

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A Massachusetts woman was arrested in Chicago and charged with stalking former Boston Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein.

Kathleen Kearney was taken into custody Monday about two blocks from Epstein's Chicago home.

The 44-year-old Kearney told police she was watching the home and wanted to invite Epstein to church.

It's not the first run-in Kearney has had with the Chicago Cubs president. Kearney was accused of stalking Epstein last year in Massachusetts. Police investigated, but no charges were ever filed.

Kearney is scheduled to appear in court later Tuesday.
