EVERETT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) --The Winchester community is in mourning after a second teenager and hockey player died in a car crash.

State Police said 19-year-old Frank Vozzella lost control of his car on Sweetser Circle in Everett early Saturday morning. Investigators said Vozzella's car struck a tree and then rolled over, coming to rest on Route 16 Eastbound. He was taken to Mass General Hospital where he died from his injuries, police say.

"I heard it this morning. My mom got a text from one of my father's relatives," said Sam Vozzella. "It's really sad, it's really hard."

Family members told FOX25 Vozzella was a recent graduate of Winchester High School and a former goalie on the hockey team.

"He's so young. It's bad that he died in a car crash, it's not supposed to happen, but it does," Sam said.

A teacher and trainer for the WHS boys' hockey team, Donna Gildersleeve said the juniors and seniors gathered before a scheduled conference game on Saturday evening to remember their former teammate and friend.

"The kids that know him, they'll be saying, this one's for you, Frank," Gildersleeve said.

The team is already painfully familiar with tragedy after another of their players, 17-year-old Pat Gill, was killed in September in a car crash.

"It's been a hard time, been a hard time, for such a small town, to have so much," Gildersleeve said.

The investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
