Waitress nearly brought to tears by diner's act of kindness

DARMOUTH, Mass. — A waitress from North Carolina who is temporarily working at the Texas Roadhouse in Dartmouth was nearly brought to tears by a diner’s tremendous act of kindness.

The waitress was forced to evacuate her home because of Hurricane Florence. She works at the Texas Roadhouse in North Carolina and the owner of the chain’s Dartmouth restaurant was kind enough to give her a few shifts to get by while she sought safety in New England.

Brothers Jared and Justin Methia were dining at the restaurant Wednesday when the waitress mentioned, in regular conversation, her feet were in pain because her shoes were a size too small. She then explained how she had to escape north ahead of the monster storm.

After hearing her story, Justin left a 100% tip. He told his brother she needed the money more than him.

As they were walking out, the waitress chased them out the door, practically in tears, to thank them for their generosity.

Jared shared the story on Facebook because he was proud of his brother.
