QUINCY, Mass. — Multiple people were evacuated and at least one person needed to jump from a second floor window after a fire broke out inside a Quincy rooming house early Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out in 33 Winter Street just before 3 a.m.
Approximately 17 people were inside the building when the fire broke out, and seven of them needed to be taken to hospitals to be treated.
Four patients were taken to Quincy Medical Center and three were taken to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries, including the victim that jumped from the second floor window, according to Brewester Ambulance Company.
All of the people inside have been accounted for, according to fire officials.
It's unknown what sparked the blaze.
