GLOUCESTER, Mass. — The Coast Guard is searching for a man who reportedly was swept out to sea while fishing in Gloucester.
There were two men fishing at Rafes Chasm Park around 2:50 p.m. when they were swept out to sea.
One man made it back to shore but lost sight of his fishing partner. The missing man is reported to be in his early 30s. He was wearing blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
The Coast Guard has a boat and helicopter searching for the man with assistance from state police, the Gloucester Harbormaster and environmental police.
