BOSTON — Red Line service was suspended in both directions between Kendall and Park Street stations Friday morning, but it was restored to normal service by 7 a.m.
MBTA officials said a fire at the Charles/MGH station overnight knocked out power.
While crews worked to restore power, shuttle buses served Kendall, Charles/MGH and Park Street stations.
Officials said the entire Red Line would be impacted by the disruption and asked commuters to allow more travel time Friday morning.
Normal operations resumed on the Red Line with residual delays due to an earlier power problem. #MBTA
