Two people found dead in Lowell home after apparent carbon monoxide poisoning

LOWELL, Mass. — Two people were found dead inside a home in Lowell after an apparent case of carbon monoxide poisoning, police say.

The Lowell Police and Fire Departments said crews went to a Shawmut Avenue home just after 8 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The two victims were found in their basement, with a gas-powered generator running next to them.

The two deaths are still under investigation.
