AVON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Two people were killed early Sunday in a head-on car crash.
The crash took place just before 12:30 a.m. on Harrison Boulevard in Avon, according to David Traub, of the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.
Joshua Deacon, 26, was driving a gray Nissan Altima westbound on Harrison Boulevard when he crossed the center line into the eastbound lane, striking another car which was carrying two women in their 40s, according to Traub. Deacon was killed on impact.
The car heading eastbound contained a female driver in her 40s, as well as a passenger. The passenger, 49-year-old Tina Lachance, of Brockton, was killed. The driver, whose name has not been released, was transported to a Boston hospital and is undergoing treatment for life-threatening injuries, Traub said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
