WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — West Mifflin, Pennsylvania’s most wanted reptile is reportedly in custody, following a three-day walkabout and more than a few elusive maneuvers.
A 3-foot alligator caught on camera crossing the community’s New England Road several days prior was captured Saturday, WPXI reported.
“All digits and extremities intact,” a post on the West Mifflin Police Department’s Facebook page read, featuring a photo of the subdued gator.
Details on the alligator’s origins remained scarce Sunday, and the department has not yet confirmed the reptile’s next home, PennLive.com reported.
According to the news outlet, at least 22 alligators have been found roaming Pennsylvania, all of which were categorized as pets that either escaped or were illegally released into the wild.
