Recall alert: Kroger pancake, waffle mix recalled in 17 states

The Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of Kroger Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix.

The reason is due to potential foreign material.

The FDA said fragments of a cable used to clear the processing line were found in some of the products.

The recalled 2-lb. boxes of Kroger Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix have the UPC 01111088219 with the lot code KX2063 or KX2064 and a best-by date of 09/01/2023 or 09/02/2023, according to the FDA.

They were sold in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

There have been no reports of injuries and no consumers have reported finding contamination in the pancake mix.

Consumers who have the recalled mix are being told to dispose of them and call the Recall Phone Hotline at 1-800-578-7832 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT for more information and to receive a refund.
