The parts kit didn’t include reinforcing brackets that were supposed to be installed in the frame’s corners to make sure it wouldn’t collapse.

The recall impacts specific models of the frames. They are made of black metal and are 14 inches high.

The frames were sold in twin, full, queen and king sizes.

The following model codes are printed on the invoice or box:

  • OLB-MESB-T
  • OLB-MESB-F
  • OLB-MESB-Q
  • OLB-MESB-K

The final letter in the code refers to the size.

The CPSC said the recall involves about 30,400 frames that were sold online through Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Target, Overstock and The Home Depot from May 2022 to November 2022 for between $74 and $200.

Owners of the recalled frames are being told to stop using them immediately and to contact Zinus to get a free repair kit via the company’s website. You can also call the company at 800-613-1225 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday, or by email.
