MESA, Ariz. — Lori Vallow’s son was arrested over the weekend for allegedly raping a woman at her Mesa, Arizona home.
According to court records obtained by KTVK, on Friday the victim reported Colby Ryan, 26, to police as the man who assaulted her two days earlier. She allegedly told police that Ryan came over to her house, then they watched some television and began kissing. Ryan allegedly pushed to do more but the victim told him to stop.
KSAZ reported that Ryan allegedly ignored the victim’s requests to stop and continued. The court records obtained by KSAZ, noted that the victim told investigators that Ryan eventually started to cry said he was sorry.
The court records also mentioned that the victim recorded a conversation with Ryan where he allegedly admitted to raping her, according to KPNX. Those records were turned over to the Mesa Police Department.
Investigators said that once Ryan was arrested, he allegedly admitted to “engaging in sexual activity with the victim without her consent”, according to KPNX.

According to KTVK, Ryan has been booked on two counts of sexual assault and his bond has been set at $10,000.
Lori Vallow, Ryan’s mother, has been accused of killing her two other children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan, in June 2019, according to KTVK.
Tylee and JJ’s remains were found at Vallow’s husband Charles Daybell’s farm in Idaho in June 2020, according to KSAZ. Vallow was arrested in February 2020 and in her case, prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
