Brewer Anheuser-Busch is making sure that if voters have to head to the polls, they can do so safely.
The company is donating more than 8 million ounces of its hand sanitizer to election polls across the country for the November general election, the company said in a news release.
The hand sanitizer will be made at its Baldwinsville, New York, and Los Angeles breweries as well as partner locations in San Diego and Roseland, Virginia.
Anheuser-Busch made and distributed hand sanitizer earlier this year when the cleanser was in short supply due to the coronavirus pandemic. So far it has donated more than 500,000 8-ounce bottles to emergency management agencies, food banks and health care systems in 20 states and Washington, D.C.
Anheuser-Busch isn’t the only company that has adapted its bottling companies to make hand sanitizers.
Many distilleries have also added hand sanitizer to try to keep up with demand.
