DANBURY, Conn. — Four people, including three children, were found dead in a Connecticut home on Wednesday, authorities said.
According to Danbury Police Department Chief Patrick Ridenhour, officers conducted a welfare check at a Danbury home at about 6:30 p.m. EDT after receiving a telephone call from a man who was distraught and crying, The News-Times of Danbury reported.
Officers arriving at the home found the three children dead inside the home, according to the newspaper. The children were between the ages of 5 and 12, WVIT-TV reported.

Police also found a woman dead in the home’s outside shed, according to the television station.
The identities of the woman and children have not been released, and police have not revealed causes of death, News12 Connecticut reported. Police said it appeared all four people were related. The woman’s age also was not released.
Ridenhour said it appears to be an isolated incident and no arrests have been made.
“We’re not going to leave any stone unturned. I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves,” Ridenhour told WVIT. “We have a pretty good idea of what happened but we just don’t want to confirm that at this point.”
