Towns, cities across Massachusetts hosting July 4th celebrations

NOTE: Inclement weather is forcing many communities to postpone or cancel their fireworks celebrations. Make sure to check with your community to see the latest on the status of the planned events below.

Friday, July 2

  • Everett - Glendale Park 100 Elm St. at dusk. Rain Date - 7/9
  • Foxborough - Patriot Place Parking Lot 41 - 2 Patriot Place at 9 p.m.
  • Greenfield - Poet’s Seat Tower - Mountain Road at 9:35 p.m.
  • Haverhill - Riverside Park - 163 Lincoln Ave. 9:15 p.m. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Ipswitch -Golf Club at Turner Hill - 251 Topsfield Rd. 9 p.m. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Lexington - Lexington High School - Worthen Road at 9:30 p.m. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Middleborough - Battis Field/Pierce Playground - Jackson Street at 10 p.m. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Worcester - Polar Park Stadium - 122 Madison Street after the WooSox game

Saturday, July 3

  • Boston - 9 p.m. over Boston Harbor. The fireworks will be launched from a barge at Boston’s Long Wharf.
  • East Harwich - 9:15 p.m. - Barge off Wequassett Inn
  • Fitchburg - 9 p.m. - Rollstone Hill Site - access from Pratt Road. Rain Date: 7/10
  • Lawrence - 9:30 p.m. - Field across from Lawrence High School. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Worcester - After the WooSox game - Polar Park Stadium
  • Mashpee - 9:30 p.m. Golf Course - 20 Red Brook Road. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Methuen - 9:30 p.m. - 100 Milk Street. Rain Date: 7/5
  • New Bedford - 9 p.m. - Barge in New Bedford Harbor. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Sandwich - 9 p.m. - 71 Country Club Road.
  • Webster - 9 p.m. - Memorial Beach. Rain Date: 7/4
  • Weymouth - 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Free Jacks Union Stadium
  • Windsor - 9:30 p.m. - 221 Peru Road. Rain Date: 7/9

Sunday, July 4

  • Amesbury - 9:30 p.m. at Woodsom Farm on Lions Mouth Road.
  • Barnstable - 9 p.m. over Hyannis Harbor in Lewis Bay.
  • Boston Common - 10:30 p.m. with fireworks displayed from Parade Ground at the corner of Charles and Beacon, Frog Pond, and other areas with sightlines to the Boston Common.
  • Bridgewater - 9:30 p.m. at Legion Field on Bedford Street.
  • East Harwich - 9:15 p.m. - 3 barges off Wequassett Inn. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Fall River - 9:30 p.m. - Barge in Taunton River. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Hampton Beach - 9:30 p.m. along B and C Streets in Hampton Beach in New Hampshire.
  • Mashpee - 9:15 p.m. - 130 Willowbend Drive. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Waltham - 9 p.m. - Leary Field. Rain Date: 7/5
  • Worcester - After the WooSox Game - Polar Park Stadium

Monday, July 5

  • Gloucester - Due to the threat of inclement weather, Gloucester postponed its fireworks celebration to July 5 at 9:30 p.m. along the Boulevard with a concert beginning at 6 p.m. Stage Fort Park - Fort area - 1 Hough Ave.
  • Oakham - 9:30 p.m. - Barge on Lake Dean. Rain Date: 7/6
  • Plymouth - 9:30 p.m. - 3 mini barges in Plymouth Harbor. Rain Date: 7/10

Friday, July 9

  • Everett - Everett announced it has postponed its fireworks celebration to July 9 at 9:30 p.m. at Glendale Park on Elm Street.

Saturday, July 10

  • Clinton - Clinton rescheduled its 4th of July celebration to July 10. The Clinton Fire Department said it will be releasing more information on the event shortly.

Thursday, August 5

  • Chatham - Due to weather, Chatham reschedule its firework celebration until August 5. The celebration will be held at 9 p.m. at Veterans Field on Main Street.
