Emergency boil water order in Marshfield through the weekend

MARSHFIELD, Mass. — The entire town of Marshfield is currently under a boil water order that will last through the weekend,  according to a release from the Board of Selectmen.

The emergency order was issued following a recent water and sewer pipe break. Staff will be at the DPW Facility until 7 p.m. to pass out cases of water to residents.

Residents will be updated throughout the repair procedures and will be notified once the need for the boil water order is lifted.

The Department of Public Works is currently working to fix the problem and in contact with the Department of Environmental Protection as well as the town's Board of Health.
