MERRIMACK, N.H. — Police are searching for three men who crawled through an air vent and stole thousands of dollars from a Merrimack Laundromat.

Surveillance video shows the men as they enter the business and get to work taking about $3,000 in cash and quarters.

“Three men broke through the roof, cut...through our roof,” Merrimack Commons Laundromat owner Chris Miner said.

The suspects wore masks during the theft, which happened early Monday morning.

“Everything in our front office area, they poured bleach all over it. They tore apart our change machine,” Miner said.

That’s when the thieves moved on to the next business in the strip mall.

“They tore a hole through the wall and went to the dollar store,” Miner said. “Bleach all over everything...[the thieves] ransacked their store [and] stole money from them.”

Employees at the Laundromat said they feel uncomfortable working there at night now.

“It was my happy place and I felt very safe up until now,” Heather Mortenson said. “Since we've been robbed, it's not just the money they got away with, it's our sense of security.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Merrimack Police Department at (603) 424-3774.
